Many Nigerians have ridiculed the trend about social media users turning collation centres after the presidential and parliamentary elections were concluded late Saturday in some states in the country.
Party loyalists are rolling out figures with claims that they emanated from polling units.
Just as on Sunday, spokesperson o LP PCC, Okonkwo claimed that his his flag bearer, Obi has won in polling units of APC’s National Chairman, Adamu; DG, Lalong, Lagos State and across Nigeria.

FactCheckElections can confirm that Obi won at APC’s Adamu polling unit. Vanguard and other credible dailies reported that Adamu, APC National Chairman lost the presidential election in the Angwarimi Ward, GRA A1, LERCEST Office in Keffi, Nasarawa State to the Labour Party.
At the PU, Obi won clinched 132 votes, while the APC received 85 votes for second place.
Similarly, Obi won at Lalong polling unit.
He defeated his main contender, the APC presidential candidate, Bola Tinubu at 015, Kurumbo Ward B of Shendam Local Government Area of Plateau State.
Vanguard News reported that the presiding officer of the unit, Sowan Stephen made the announcement that Obi scored 104 votes, while Tinubu got 88 votes.
However, media report indicated that INEC said that the result of the presidential election held across the polling units in Lagos State will be collated on Sunday.
The state Collation Officer, Prof. Adenike Oladiji, disclosed this late on Saturday evening while briefing journalists and election observers at INEC’s collation centre in Yaba, Lagos.
However, media reports show that no single result from any of the 20 local government areas have arrived at the State Collation Centre as of 1.00 pm on Sunday.
FactCheckElections also reached out to one of the election observers in Lagos state who confirmed that as state collation was yet to begin in Lagos as of 6.20 pm.
Therefore, there is no evidence Obi already won in Lagos state.
